Seven years ago, during my college days, I first attempted to portray a banana split. The excitement of creating something so joyful was palpable, but my skills were still in their infancy. Revisiting this theme now, I can’t help but reflect on how far I’ve come. The nuances of color, texture, and form in this piece reveal the evolution of my style and technique.
The painting recently earned an Honorable Mention at the Quinlan 77th Annual Members Exhibition, a recognition that deepens my connection to this nostalgic subject. It’s a testament to the dedication and practice I’ve poured into my art over the years.

In the hustle and bustle of daily life, we often find ourselves too busy to fully appreciate the natural world around us.
